Basic Mediation Training

34 Hour Basic Mediation Training: September 2010

This Basic Mediation Training provides in-depth coverage of the mediation process and the principles of conflict management through presentations, exercises, discussions and role-plays. The training complies with the MA Supreme Judicial Court (SJC) Uniform Rules on Dispute Resolution and meets the requirements for confidentiality as stated in the Mass General Laws, Chapter 233, section 23C.

Lead Trainer:

Mary Smith affiliated with North Shore Community Mediaton Center (NSCMC) for the past 11 years, has been trained in Basic Mediation, Parent/Child and Elder Mediation, and completed MWIs Train the Trainer Institute. She is an active mediator with NSCMC and has been a trainer/coach and Lead Trainer in the Basic Mediation Training and a trainer/coach in School Peer Mediation Trainings. Mary has served on the Apprentice Committee and continues to act as a mentor to apprentice mediators.

Mary will be joined by experienced mediators/trainers/coaches throughout the training.

Enrollment: Limited to 20 participants.
CEUs and PDPs awarded upon request.
Cancellations by cut-off date (September 1) will be refunded. Afterwards, refunds will be provided only if space is filled.
